Daniel Freeman - Founder & Lead Inspector
Daniel Freeman is the founder and owner of The Chimney Doctor, where he leads the company’s inspection work with a focus on technical accuracy, code-informed analysis, and clear, defensible reporting. He entered the chimney and fire safety field in 2013 and established The Chimney Doctor in 2016, building the company around certified practice, continuing education, and the protection of life and property through better inspection work.
Daniel remains actively involved in advancing industry standards through technical committee participation, instruction, and ongoing professional development. His work spans fireplace, chimney, and venting system inspections for home-sale, fire-loss, insurance, and safety-related needs, and he also provides expert and forensic inspection services in more complex matters. His background in standards development, system evaluation, and field documentation supports the detailed, high-accountability approach that defines The Chimney Doctor today.
