Meet the Team
Daniel Freeman is the founder of The Chimney Doctor. He started working in the chimney industry in 2013 and quickly fell in love with the work. Just three years later he took an opportunity to found a new chimney company specializing in chimney inspection and repair and The Chimney Doctor was born. Dan believes that problem-solving and continuing education are at the core of building a successful customer-oriented service business. He still strives daily to educate himself and his clients, and help people keep their homes and families safer.
Dan has a Bachelors of Science in Marketing Management and a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Strategy & Leadership from Western Governors University. He’s also been a part of various executive coaching seminars in both the US and Europe. Before founding The Chimney Doctor, Daniel had the opportunity to work as a Survival Instructor and In-Field Supervisor at the Anasazi Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to healing the parent-child relationship, and as a volunteer missionary in Quebec, Canada.
Now Dan continues his education through the Chimney Safety Institute of America, the National Fireplace Institute, and many other industry suppliers and organizations to make sure that he and his staff are up to date on the most current inspection and cleaning techniques, as well as any new chimney, appliance, and venting information available. He is happily married and the father of five children and in his spare time enjoys volunteering in various capacities in his church, serving others, completing projects around the house, gardening, camping and traveling with his family.
A native of Rochester, NY she relocated to the Western Slope in 2015. She enjoys spending her free time as a birth and postpartum doula, helping families through the joys, challenges, and the adjustments that are inevitable during the birth year.

He loves learning new skills, enjoys doing his best and making others smile. He is a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep and continues to receive training and education within the industry.
While he never imagined himself a Chimney Technician in his younger years Chris has proved himself both competent and capable in the field and is a valued addition to The Chimney Doctor family.
