Meet the Team

Experienced Professionals. Certified Standards. Trusted Results.

Our team is built to inspect Colorado’s premier hearth systems in high-demand mountain zones — where luxury homes, complex installations, and certified inspections define the work. Because our focus is on high-value systems in premium markets, every team member is selected not only for skill and certification, but also for the ability to deliver high-efficiency, high‐impact service. We don’t chase volume — we deliver excellence. Our team members are empowered to focus full attention on each client rather than rushing through job after job.

Daniel Freeman - Founder, Owner, CEO

Daniel Freeman is the founder of The Chimney Doctor, Ltd. and Freeman Fire Inspectors, leading both organizations with a focus on certified safety, technical precision, and industry education.

He entered the chimney and fire safety field in 2013 and established The Chimney Doctor in 2016, building it on three principles that still define the company today: problem-solving, continuous education, and protecting life and property through certified practice.

Daniel remains deeply engaged in advancing industry standards. He serves as an instructor for leading national education programs and sits on multiple technical and code committees — including two Underwriters Laboratories Standards Technical Committees (STC103 and STC127) and the NFPA 211 Technical Committee responsible for national chimney and venting standards.

As the founder of Freeman Fire Inspectors, Daniel also provides expert witness and forensic inspection services across the United States, bridging fire investigation, construction, and code compliance disciplines to support litigation, insurance, and regulatory matters.

He holds a B.S. in Marketing Management and an MBA in Strategy & Leadership from Western Governors University, and has completed executive leadership and consulting programs in both the U.S. and Europe.

Outside of his professional work, Daniel prioritizes time with his wife and five children, enjoys hands-on projects and travel, and serves actively in his faith community as an Interfaith Outreach Specialist for the Colorado Southwest Slope Area Communications Council.
