At The Chimney Doctor we provide all chimney inspection types, including Video Inspections.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 211 states, “Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances. Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs shall be done if necessary.” Even if you don’t use your chimney regularly other forms of deterioration and weathering can occur. Preventative maintenance now can save homeowners thousands of dollars in repairs later.
At The Chimney Doctor we clean all types of chimney installations and appliance types. Whether you burn WOOD, PELLET, or GAS, or whether you have a FIREPLACE, PELLET INSERT, GAS FIREPLACE, or WOODSTOVE we look forward to meeting your needs.
Whether you burn wood in a Pre-manufactured Fireplace, a Masonry Fireplace, or have a Woodstove or Insert we specialize in cleaning and inspecting them for safe and continued use. At The Chimney Doctor our goal in performing a thorough chimney inspection and chimney cleaning of your chimney is to assure that your woodburning appliance meets all safety codes and standards and that there is no apparent risk of a chimney or structural fire, or that you are informed of the risks noted as a result of one of our professional, thorough, and certified Chimney Inspections.
At The Chimney Doctor, we specialize in pellet stove cleaning, service, and repair. We service and repair all brands, makes, and models of Pellet Stoves and Inserts. We recommend having your stove fully serviced and tested with each pellet stove cleaning to assure that it continues running as it should. It is recommended that you have your pellet stoves and inserts cleaned and serviced every 2-3 tons of pellets you burn, or if you use it as a primary source of heat – every year. There are roughly 40-50 bags of pellets per ton.
At The Chimney Doctor, gas fireplace cleaning and service is at the heart of what we do. We work on and repair nearly every make and model of Gas Fireplace, Stove, Insert, or Log Set. We specialize in inspecting and servicing your gas unit for efficient and continued use.
Cleaning dryer vents is an important part of what we do. Lint and debris build up inside dryer vents over time, decreasing the efficiency of clothes dryers and causing fire hazards. According to the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) in August 2012 there are over 2,900 clothes dryer fires each year. 84% of these fires were found in residential buildings with an average death toll of 5, with 100 injuries and over $35 million dollars in loss.
